What is BAS?¶

A Business Activity Statement (BAS) is the form you send the ATO to report things like the GST you've collected and paid, the tax you've withheld from wages (PAYG withholding), and your PAYG instalments.

In myaccountant you'll find these under Tax → Activity Statements. myaccountant prepares the figures from your books, so you can review them and lodge straight to the ATO. As well as the BAS, it handles other activity statements such as IAS (instalment activity statements) and annual GST returns.
