How do I connect Xero?¶

Connecting Xero lets myaccountant work with your Xero accounting — mainly to export your payroll pay-run journals to Xero, and to sync invoices and import transactions.

Step 1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Xero card.

Step 2. Authorise the connection on Xero. You're redirected back to myaccountant once it's done.

Step 3. On the Xero card, click Settings to set your default journal status (Draft or Posted) and map your payroll categories to the right Xero accounts.

If you signed up using "Sign in with Xero", you'll see a "Complete your Xero connection" prompt — use it to grant access to your Xero accounting data (signing in alone doesn't connect the data).
