What does Post Journal do?¶
After you finalise a pay run, Post Pay Run (post journal) records it in your accounting ledger. Your wages, PAYG tax and super then appear in your Business reports and feed into your BAS.
To post: open a finalised pay run and choose Post Pay Run from the menu. You'll see "Journal entries posted."
This step is only needed if you use the accounting side of myaccountant. If something changes, choose Unpost Pay Run to reverse the entries, then post again.
Using Xero? There's a separate Export to Xero option that sends the pay run to Xero as a journal entry.
