How do I import employees from Xero, Deputy or Tanda?¶
Rather than adding each employee by hand, you can bring their records across from Xero, Deputy or Tanda — myaccountant reads them from the connected integration and creates the matching employees for you.
Step 1. Connect the integration first — you'll need Xero, Deputy or Tanda linked to your business (see the related guides below).
Step 2. Go to Payroll → Employees.
Step 3. Click Import at the top of the employees list to open the menu.
Step 4. Choose Import from Xero, Import from Deputy or Import from Tanda. myaccountant starts the import and shows its progress as it works through the records.
Step 5. When it finishes, you'll see how many employees were imported and how many were skipped. The new employees appear in your list, ready for you to review and complete their details.
If your plan's employee seats are full, myaccountant will prompt you to upgrade before the import can add more employees.
