How do I set up recurring invoices?¶
If you bill a customer the same amount on a regular schedule, you can have myaccountant create the invoice automatically each time.
Set one up while creating an invoice¶
Step 1. Create the invoice as usual, then tick Make this recurring.
Step 2. Choose the Cadence — Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly. If you choose Daily, pick the Days of the week it should run (weekdays are pre-selected).
Step 3. Set the First run date, and optionally an End date.
Step 4. Choose whether to email the customer automatically each run, and set the recipient email if so.
Step 5. Save the invoice. The schedule starts on the first-run date.
You can also start a schedule from an existing invoice — open it and click the Recurring (repeat) icon.
Managing schedules¶
Open the Recurring tab to see all your schedules, including their cadence and next run date. To stop one, use Cancel on its row — no further invoices are generated, but the ones already created are kept.
