How do I switch between businesses?¶

If you manage more than one business in myaccountant, you can switch between them using the business switcher in the sidebar. Switching changes which business you're working in across the app — your Bank, Business, Invoicing, Payroll and Settings screens all follow the business you've selected.

Note: the dashboard is the exception. It always shows your whole position across every business, property and personal account, so it doesn't change when you switch businesses.

Step 1. In the sidebar, click the business name button (it shows a building icon and your current business name).

Step 2. A dropdown opens listing all your businesses. The one you're currently in has a tick beside it.

Step 3. Click another business to switch to it. myaccountant loads that business and refreshes the screen.

Adding another business¶

Step 4. To create a new business, open the same dropdown and click Add Business.

Step 5. In the Add a new business dialog, enter the Business Name, then click Create Business. Once it's created you can switch to it the same way.
