How do I review Caia's work before lodging my BAS?¶

Caia does not lodge your BAS. Before you lodge, the BAS page checks whether Caia still has bank lines in that statement's period that need you, and tells you about lines it has sorted that nobody has reviewed yet.

Find the Caia notice¶

Step 1. Go to Tax in the sidebar, stay on the Statements tab, and open the statement.

Step 2. Read the Caia notices at the top of the statement, if there are any.

There are two kinds of notice.

• Needs you (blocks lodging). The notice reads as a number of bank lines in the statement's period that still need you. It says You can't lodge until you've sorted them. Lodging is blocked until they are sorted. The link reads Sort them on the Caia page, or Sort them on the bank page when Caia is off or paused.
• Please review (a reminder). The notice reads as a number of lines Caia sorted that have not been reviewed yet. It says You can still lodge, but it's worth a quick look first. The link reads Review them on the Caia page.

If the statement's figures come from uploaded workings, not from your bank lines, the Needs you lines do not block lodging. They are still shown as a warning.

If Myaccountant cannot read the lines in the period, lodging is blocked until it can. The notice then counts every Needs you line in the business.

Clear the notice¶

Step 3. Select the link in the notice. The Caia page opens on that lane, for the same period.

Step 4. Review the groups. Use Looks right on work you agree with, Change or Undo on work you do not, and answer any Needs you group. See How do I review and approve Caia's work?

Step 5. Return to the BAS page. When the blocking notice has cleared, you can lodge. The same check applies when you submit a revision. See How do I lodge my BAS?

Includes unreviewed Caia work on reports¶

Financial reports show a note when their figures include bank lines that Caia has not finished or that nobody has reviewed. The note appears on the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Financial Statements, Journal Ledger, Profit and Loss and Trial Balance, and it is also printed on the PDF and Excel exports.

The note reads Includes unreviewed Caia work, followed by Some bank lines in this report haven't been reviewed yet, so the figures may change. and a link to Review them on the Caia page.

If the check itself could not be made, the note reads Couldn't check for unreviewed Caia work instead.
