Single Touch Payroll¶
Definition. Single Touch Payroll (STP) is the way employers report payroll information, such as wages, tax withheld and super, to the ATO each time they run a pay.
In plain English¶
Each time you run a pay, your payroll software sends the wages, tax withheld and super details straight to the ATO. It happens automatically as part of the pay run, so there is no separate report to lodge each time.
