Income statement

Definition. An income statement is the end-of-year summary of an employee's pay, tax withheld and super, available through myGov, which replaced the old payment summary (once called a "group certificate").

In plain English

Your income statement is the yearly wrap-up of what you earned, the tax taken out and the super paid for you. You find it in myGov instead of getting a paper form. It shows as "Tax ready" once your employer has finished their end-of-year reporting, and that is the signal it is safe to use for your tax return.

General information only — not tax, super or financial advice.
